I am half Venetian and I had heard of this, but I always thought that it was the usual tourist trap. I was practically brought there by two Tasmanian friends visiting Venice, and I had to completely change mind. The whole thing, from the musical part (good) to the setting, is quite an experience. I am an opera fan but... More

We are not the most knowledgeable people about opera but had a great time at Musica A Palazzo. It was easy enough to find (tucked down a little alley). We saw the Barber of Seville, which was sung in Italian but had a story that was fairly easy to follow. The eight or nine performers (musicians and singers) were all... More

We booked 3 months in advance to attend Rigoletto on 2nd May 2013. This is definitely fun and an intimate way to enjoy an opera. On the evening there was a group of eight who turned up hoping to get in - they did. The event started late - extra chairs were coming in - I felt this was to... More

Great experience. Not to be missed. I am an opera fan and go frequently to the Met at NYC. However this experience was totally different and eye opening

I am a regular opera goer - and this was an amazing experience although I would agree with the reviewer Lea that it is rough around the edges. I suggest if you love opera that you see one you don't know well. We picked the Barber of Seville which was perfect for this environment: a bit farcical, easy to ham... More

Saw the inside of a Palazzo and heard some good singing. Chairs are not too comfortable but you do move from room to room. Also given glass of prosecco or wine.

Went here as a family on a Monday night to see the Love Duets. Pros: -Intimate setting- we sat in wooden chairs only 3 steps away from the singers. We were in 2 rooms- a living room for the first half, and a bedroom for the second half. -Singers sang well. I don't know anything about opera, but the songs... More

We'd never been to an opera before and we weren't entirely sure what to expect or if it was even our thing, but we both walked away enthralled and true opera lovers! Moving from room to room for each act with the opera happening around you in such an intimate setting was amazing. I couldn't recommend this enough!

Another MUST DO on our list. See our detailed reviews on the hotel and restaurant experiences. Doing anything here - earlier in the morning, will free up your queue waits and more enjoyable with less crowds. Key - do just before high season in March / April and avoid Italian summer heat. Lots of walking.

I usually have reservations about giving a 5/5 review but this is definitely deserving We watched La Traviata on a Tuesday night You'll need to book at least a week in advance, maybe 2 weeks because this books out early The entrance is hard to find - so I've drawn and uploaded a map - hope this helps you -...
