Get lost yourself on Brera streets, with nice shops and restaurants, it is very cosy and romantic, special at night. During the day you have there the Pinacoteca if you like art. Avoid going on a Monday morning, almost everything is closed.

Brera is just what you think of when you think of Italian cities. Milan is huge and you have to look for the special little areas that make Italy so great. Brera is one of them. The small lanes, the cobblestones, the wonderful cafes and restaurants the boutiques,,,,it all adds up to a wonderful experience. Great walking area.
This historic area has small, interesting shops, is artsy and good for walking. It seems to have been gentrified in a good way
An art lover wouldn't really miss this excellent gallery. I loved "the marriage of the virgin" by Raphael, "the kiss" by Francesco Hayez and "the lamentation of christ" by mategna.
Fabulous part of town, ideal for wandering around and getting lost in. Lovely, quirky shops, fabulous high end homewares, some of the best restaurants in the city, galleries aplenty. Worth a couple of hours on a travel itinerary.
Great place for designers specially! There's alot to see there and I find it a great place to network and find out what's hip. There are some shops, cafes and restaurants. Won't get bored if gone alone, it's interesting enough:)
This is a nice place and mainly you can find a lot of Interni signs in April which mean that there is an exhebition Inside. There is a quite well nice restaurants too, and you can sit outside.
its a very nice place to walk around, good restaurants, bars, beautifull place to see. you can go alone, with friends, family, doesnt matter, you´ll like that!
Never get tired from walking the rooms of the Brera, and seeing the spectacular Italian paintings -- Mantegna in particular. Sadly, the painting restoration work in the center space was not being shown. And such great galleries and restaurants in the neighborhood !
Great place for a wander during the day, particularly for those with an interest in design. In the evening, many bars and restaurants are over-priced (although I'd recommend the Torre di Pisa).
