Impressive Cathedral with fairytale-like statues everywhere. It overwhelms to piazza and you have to stand far back to get a full picture. Always busy around it but not long to wait to enter or tour the roof top.

We only had a few hours in Milan, but walked to Duomo Square from Main train station. It was about a 35 minute walk but we saw many shops, etc along the way. Church is impressive too. Useful place to ask taxi drivers to take you to, as it is the hub of central Milan. Great view of the Duomo (cathedral) and short walk to shops, la Scala etc.

Go into the fabulous church then go across the square and have a drink at one of the outside cafe's and enjoy the people watching

I wanted to stop and enjoy being in the Piazza as it was one of the largest we saw in Italy but with every step you took there was someone trying to "give" you a "free" bracelet. I know nothing in life is actually free. They had some kind of scam going, I just never stopped long enough to figure...

Milan is a city with a poor number of big places. It's great to get around Duomo Place because it's large with a lof of liveliness in the very center of Milan. It's nice to take great pictures. I recommend to get there during sunset : with the light of the sun, the Duomo is becoming golden.
