Whilst I'm sure this is a wonderful place to visit. The reality is opening times are very contradictory. We visited on a Wednesday to find path closed and no boats taking tourists. Website suggests the villa is closed Monday and Wednesday. Contrary to this the taxi boat information says its closed on Thursdays and Fridays!!
My suggestion visit weekends and...

Also got to see a wedding taking place, our guide for the house was excellent, a very enjoyable afternoon. Such a pleasure to take in the amazing views. Must See !!

We only had time to visit one villa during our trip to Como, and we picked this one based on the reviews and photos. We didn't see the water taxi when were in Lenno, but other people seemed to have arrived by boat. We walked from Lenno to the villa, it is about a 20 minute walk, although we tend...

We took a water taxi from Lenno and took some marvellous photos of the Villa from the boat. The day was sunny and the water was like a millpond. The villa was built by a cardinal and then the Italian explorer Monzino bought and renovated it. The views to all sides of the lake are absolutely stunning, particularly towards Bellagio....
