The synagogue built in the beg of the 20th century is beautiful. It's located in the midst of the old ghetto - many dining options including kosher ones More

For those of us who don't eat pork and always wonder what might be in the food - the Jewish Ghetto is perfect. No pork. :) More

We toured the Synagogue and museum in the charming Jewish quarter; found it very informative. Our guide highlighted some of the items in the museum for us -- at first we had found the very wordy signs to the items displayed difficult but after the tour, were more eager to read all the details. I think most of the people... More

Our guides were extremely well informed & personable. They walked us through a museum, synagogue, old/current Jewish neighborhood, highlighting kosher restaurants, shops and schools. The tour included information on how the Italian Jews were treated during WWII and the Holocaust. Terrific tour for people of all faiths. More

The Jewish Ghetto is an excellent location to explore all the treasures of Rome. It is right next to the beautiful ruins of Area Sacra Argentina and within 5 minutes walk to the Campidoglio, the Forum, the Pantheon, Campo de Fiori, and yet 10 minute walk to Trastevere – to Villa Farnesina and other marvels. Naturally, the Synagogue is right... More
