We had quite an experience validating our Eurailpass at the Termini. All in all, we spent 3 hours there and we had to pay someone. Here's what happened. We entered the station and we saw a line which we thought was the correct one but it was not. (It was the left line when you enter the station.) That line... more

We were staying in Rome for a couple of days and then going to Florence. On arrival in Rome we purchased our ticket and found out where the train left from. On the day of departure I went several times to the Terminni Information office to check the platform, however one gentleman just didnt want to know or talk to... more

Me and my girlfriends just returned from our 10 day trip from Italy. Rome was our first stop and this happened while we were taking our first train ride from Rome to Florence. Arrived at the Termini station with us all a bit lost in locating the ticket validating machine, my friends managed to stop and ask a gentleman with... more

Our final stop was Rome and we got in from La Spezia via train which brought us to Rome's Termini station. Upon arrival we looked up the Tourist Info counter for the maps and various brochures about the city. The person at the counter was extremely rude who was a man, bald with huge black ear studs on both ears.... more

Arrived BA at furthest gate. You walk a long way to a small monorail shuttle that takes you to luggage collection. From there follow signs to Train station. The walk in total was about 3/4 mile. At train station you have 2 choices of travel, slow or express. Take the express. Cost 11 Euro each person for 2nd class. Tickets... more

My wife and I flew into Rome via Ciampino airport, and then took the bus service run by Terravision to Termini station. We arrived at Termini sometime after 11 pm. I figured we would hop a taxi to our hotel near the Vatican. I preferred to use a taxi because I wasn't sure that Rome's limited subway service was still... more

I just returned from a 2 week visit to Italy (went to Roma, Vieste and Firenze). While in Rome, our hotel (Hotel Diana) was right near Termini station. We were warned by hotel staff and locals alike to stay away from Termini in the late night hours. There is a higher crime rate at night - prostitution, protesters, theft, etc.... more

Roma Termini is a busy train station. It took us 30 minutes to deposit luggage at the Left Luggage as all Luggage Lockers are no longer available. Also, spent 30 minutes to retrive luggage from Luggage facility. All Luggage is X-rayed and there is 50 lbs limit on weight. Charge was 3.80 Euro per bag for 5 hours. more

Several visits - December 2006 this time.I can only comment on the metro service. If you don't buy a Roma Pass e18 which gives you three days travel as well as entrance to exhibits etc. ,you can easilly buy travel tickets -length to suit your stay , from station machines ,all in the the language choice of your own country. It is... more
