Via dei Coronari is a wonderful place to walk. We stumbled upon this locale after a visit to the Church of San Salvator in Lauro. The street is very picturesque, mostly quiet and not crowded, and hosts a number of stores and eateries.

Via dei Coronari is a wonderful place to walk. We stumbled upon this locale after a visit to the Church of San Salvator in Lauro. The street is very picturesque, mostly quiet and not crowded, and hosts a number of stores and eateries.
We kept returning to this gorgeous street. The shops were lovely and unusual, and the Kouki and Leila (Kouki) shops were the best in the city for Venetian carnival masks--the quality was unmatched anywhere else we went. Plus the street is atmospheric and beautiful. :) Not far from the Umberto bridge.
We stopped at several shops along this lovely street, but two stand out: Kouki and a new shop, Leila. Leila is the daughter of the proprietor of Kouki. Also nearby is Maffetone Design for lovely old tiles.
