The location of Trevi Fountain is very unassuming. You walk through narrow walkways which suddenly open up to a big square and you immediately hear the sound of the fountain water. The water is very clean and the structure itself is overwhelmingly large. It is very intricate and easy to get lost in. I could have sat at the fountain... More

Lots of tourists and it can be hard to make your way down to the actual fountain. Go into the church opposite the fountain, it is beautiful, awesome paintings etc. When in Rome it is a must see, great carvings a beautiful fountain in a beautiful city

It's size and beauty is not to be missed. There is no fee to see this site and is just walking distance from the Pantheon. To get here, take the train to Barberini station. It is better to go in the morning as it gets crowded later in the day. This fountain is in a square surrounded by numerous shops,... More

Using the fountain as an (extremely grand) wishing well has become an essential attraction in Rome. The sculpture of Poseidon and the aquamarine water certainly make a wonderful fountain, but it's hardly a must-see attraction. The fountain is very busy, esp. in peak tourist season, so be prepared for some bustling. Mind your belongings. There are plenty of touristy shops... More

The Trevi Fountain should be on your very short list of things to see in Rome. Be prepared to be around a lot of people, but you can find your way down the steps and get decent photos without too many people in them. Also worth visiting while there are the small side streets lined with shops and restaurants. Flip... More

I am always amazed when I see the Trevi Fountain. This is one of the world's most beautiful fountains. The sculpture at the fountain is marvelous. The only bad thing is that it has hundreds of visitors all the time and it is difficult to take photos because of all the people.

Brilliant fountain but so many people there and a few locals begging. Just be careful of pick pockets!

Fantastic and very busy when we initially visited an Sunday afternoon, we had been warned. Went again at 8am on a Tuesday and the fountains were just being switched on and there was nobody about
