The Palace seems like a little Verssailles. The City of Naples must inform more about it! This Palace was where the King of 2 Sicilias lived! a very important place for Italy and Europe. The Palace's administration must open the terrace ( after repair), and the other rooms that were not available ate the time, June 2013. I was born... More

Based on this palace's history, one would expect that it would live up to its rivals in other European cities such as Vienna. Despite its beauty inside, with amazing frescoes, wallpapers, works of art etc., the place looked very poorly managed. It was dusty all over, with little or no furnishings (mostly empty rooms really - I wonder where did... More

Palazzo Reale is really worth a visit with only a few euro admission. We had visited Naples a few times in the past and we always neglected this palace. Thanks to Trip Advisors review, we did go in this time and agree that the palace is very beautiful.

Grab an audio guide and wander past the bizzare empty cupboards/shelves to the most amazing staircase. Climb the stairs to see absolutely stunning rooms which you can wander in uninterrupted.

There is not much to commend Naples as a tourist centre. Visitors mostly pass through on their way to Pompei. However, the Palazzo Reale, lifts the visitor from the unremittingly grim and grimy city into a superb attraction. In our guide book it is the number one visit and we would agree wholeheartedly. Aside from its wonderful commanding view of... More

A great place for history. Well laid out and easy to enjoy at your own speed. The few guards in the rooms were good sources of information and took the time with the kids to explain and instruct. Highly recommend going their to see Naples history.

This was a great palace experience with beautiful rooms, but which one could experience in a couple of hours and have time to move on to another sight. It was easy to get to. Free audio guide with adult ticket.

Very luxurious and breathtaking palace! Many different rooms, all of them are beautiful, colorful, with really fancy furniture. Who wouldn't like to live there? They provided me with an audio guide in English, that was very helpful and I could discover many interesting facts about each room and the people who used to live there! I probably spent about 2... The royal palace was begun in 1600 as a residence for the Spanish viceroys, but was extensively renovated under the Bourbons and was only completed in 1843. The self-guided visit includes the marvelous grand staircase, a private theater (the Teatrino di Corte) dating from the 18th century, the extensively decorated and furnished royal apartments, and the Cappella Palatina with its...
