Very nice collection of Greek and Roman statues and artifacts. Great finds from Pompei as well. One gets a better feeling of how people in Pompei lived like than in the actual excavations in Pompei!

The mosaics from Pompeii and Herculaneum are worth the 8 euro admission charge alone.
It's such a shame that, like elsewhere in the Naples and sorrento areas, the Italians show such little regard for the multitude of English speaking visitors. Directional signs are virtually non existent , hardly any exhibits have notices in English and few of the attendants speak...

The Faranese collection of Roman and Greek sculpture is amazing, equal to the best that can be found in Rome or anywhere else. The best of the roman frescos and mosaics from Pompeii and Herculanium are also to be found here so don't go to those sites without visiting here too.
A nice museum what tells you a lot about Pompeii and Herculaneum. When I went there, some parts of it were closed, not so nice
Missed seeing the replica of Pompeii. We could not find it. The room with the mosaics were great. The "Secret Room" was mild by todays standards.
Amazing sculptures and the pompeii exhibition is a must, makes the brothel in pompeii look very tame!
Loved visiting this museum after touring Herculaneum and the Pompeii ruins as many of the original findings, statutes and mosaics are located here. Spent hours taking it all in and admiring the brilliant sculptures that are presented in the museum. Highly recommended.
This museum contains mostly objects found at Pompeii. Incredible marble statues and frescos and artifacts. The museum iis quite spacious and the descriptions are in the Italian and English. You can also do the audio guide in English. Admission is reasonable. This is a must see in Naples.

Year later, I finally got to fulfill my desire to visit the Archeology Museum (in fact, but for this I would have passed through Naples again without staying). All I can say is WOW! I have been to Pompeii and Herculaneum (and plan to return...

Getting to the museum was a little interesting since we were staying in Sorrento. We took the Circumvesuviana train from Sorrento to Pompeii and then from Pompeii to Naples. Once...
