Really neat surprise in the middle of town. It will take your breath away. East side of the Square with guard rails around it. It is a lush little hideaway. So unexpected. You can't go down to see it but it makes for nice pictures. More

This is the remains of an old mill that was abandoned years ago. Takes about 5 minutes to see. It sits in a deep valley only because they paved over the river that still runs under the road. It was recently purchased by some group who intends to turn it into a hotel or some such thing. More

Saw this on line before visiting Sorrento, not many people around us there had heard of it and we directed a few others for a photo there! Scary drop and pretty amazing in the middle of the town. More

A small walk from the Piazza Tasso you will see this beautiful landscape. Its great for pictures as previously mentioned and its just another great addition to Sorrento. It would be great to get down there but maybe that could be a possibly venture in the future. More

Just near Piazza Tasso, you walk along and unsuspectingly gaze down on this little mill and valley. Very beautiful and comes up a treat in pictures. You can't get down to it that I could see and it is only a fairly brief experience but very nice beacuse it is unexpected. Part of the charm of walking around Sorrento More

Loved this cute unexpected valley of the mills in Sorrento Italy. First of all you're walking on a beautiful little town and all of the sudden there's a drop on your left (if you're heading towards the main plaza, you could say) and you see this hidden treasure all the way at the bottom of the rocky mountains around it.... We were walking around Sorrento totally unsuspecting when we saw a group of travelers looking over a wall on the side of the street. There were no signs or apparent attractions located here, but having traveled all over and knowing that some of the best finds are hidden treasures, we wandered over to see what they were looking at. What... More
