I am a retired career foreign language teacher and attended Sorrento Lingue to brush up on my Italian. The location near Marina Grande is lovely, just a 10-minute walk from Piazza Tasso. There were only two of us in the class as it was off-season, so it was an excellent value. The instruction was quite good, however I think the... More

The staff in the reception offices and the professors are great. As far as the director of the institution is concerned, she will promise you the world and once you pay the program costs, the institution will deliver half of the expectations, if that. The people that studied here this semester all paid the same program costs, some actually paid... More

I attended Sorrento Lingue for a semester and I could not have asked for a better place to be. The staff were some of my favorite people I have ever met and on top of that they are all excellent teachers. If you are interested in learning the beautiful Italian language and want ot be in the most beautiful place... More

We wanted to *experience* Italy and not just visit. This school offered that and it is an experience we will never forget. The school set us up in a Home Stay (other options available but we are so glad we did this!) and that just added to the entire feeling. We chose to participate in the 50+ Program the school... More

I spent a week in group sessions (10 or so in class) and took private lessons each day in the afternoons. There are several levels of instruction as one may take, based on a diagnostic test before attending and an oral interview in Italian. Teachers are generally very good to excellent. Everyone is courteous and kind. Sorrento is extremely safe.... More

Excellent school - and great fun! Small groups (6 in ours) make it very relaxed and they cater for all levels. Very welcoming and helpful - Olga knows everything!

Sorrento Lingue provided us with a classroom for our law school program that was in Sorrento for approximately three weeks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The building was great--and the location is good. We didn't take language classes (because we were just using the building for our law school classes), but the staff were friendly and helpful. Based on... More

School is in a good location, had many levels of Italian to learn, warm and interesting teachers. They also offer activities most afternoons and weekends.

I originally signed up for a two week course but extended my stay for another week because the course was so good! As a complete beginner with little more than being able to say my name and a general greeting I was nervous at the start. The tutors speak only Italian and for the first few days I had little...
