Entry is free into this spacious museum. There are paintings by some of Spain's greatest artists here including Goya, Velazquez and El Greco, plus a wide selection of religious art.

I loved the religious triptychs on the ground floor. The rest of the museum I didn't find very interesting especially compared to the Prado and the layout was a bit confusing as well. Entrance is free and it is open all day i.e. does not close for lunch/siesta. The cafe looked a bit plain but the gazpacho and fish that...

On a wet Saturday in early December,2004,I visited and enjoyed the Museum of Fine arts in Valencia. I enjoyed their fine collection of 19th Century Spanish paintings,especially by Cecilio Pla,Joaquin Sorrolla,and Aurelio de Berreguete.
