This museum deserves days, not hours! There are so many different masterpieces to see. One can be touristy and check them all off the museum pamphlet or one can just sit back and enjoy a few of the ones that speak to you. Entry fee is Euro15/each but worth it!

This museum is nice if you know about art history. I would really advice to take the audio guide otherwise you won't understand anything about what you see. I prefered the Reina Sofia though.

Spectacular museum. (A tiny complaint -- the signage is very poor, so finding the right rooms can mean walking endlessly ...)

A half day is just not enough to really appreciate all that the Prado has to offer. The layout is sometimes confusing and I'm sure we missed some sections. But it was great to see so many great works of art. And we will return some day to see more.

This museum will pass a lot of time ,you can get lost in it.A little annoying at times as major travel groups would surround the Art and you couldn't get near it.But worth the trip.

This is a very high-profile museum with an extensive well-organised collection. Definitely do your homework before you go. If you want to see a lot of the display in one go, make sure you are ready for a big effort. Like many museums in Europe, they do have cut-price times but honestly, the crowds and queues for that are mind-boggling,... More

Best thing was that it was Museam appreciate day and we got in for free. Lots of pictures nicely displayed but awkward walking patterns that we couldn't just stroll through the collections. Excellent collection of Spanish pictures however . . .

This museum is awesome and the free entry after 6pm was a great deal. I think we only waited about 15 minutes (because of the line). Just be advised, this museum is very large. When you enter at 6pm, you're only going to have 2 hours to see stuff. This review is just to manage your expectations.

This is an amazing collection of mainly Spanish painters. We spent 3 hours with the self guided headphones. I think it would have been better with a personal guide, particularly if you only have a few hours. It was a challenge for us to maintain concentration through the whole gallery and were exhausted at the end of three hours and... More
