I went because I was interested in learning more about Galicia. However, everything is in Galician so I didn't really learn anything! I suppose the museum is more for school trips for Galician children than tourists who want to learn more about the region. Disappointing! More

The building is wonderful -- an old Dominican seminary. (The church is now a spectacular display area for monumental-size sculptures from the art museum next door.) This was a nice museum, but for the fact that unless you were from the area you couldn't understand any of the information in it. Even my nieces who spoke Spanish had trouble with the language. More

The entrance to this museum is free, and it is situated near the San Pedro street, which is a less visited but picturesque quarter of Santiago.
