Excellent area to invest an afternoon in Barcelona: you can start visiting Park Miro with its Miro art and neat trees and spaces, have a drink in one of the chiringuitos, then look at the impressive palaces surrounding the square, have a shopping diversion in Las Arenas, be on time for the Fuente Magica show (several shows at night during... Lots of shops in the centre. You can get a lift up the outside of the building and walk around it and see the views. There are fountains the whole way up to the museum but there were not on while we were staying there. More

Upon entering the city from the airport via Hospitalet towards Gran Vía de les Cortes Catalanes, you will see the circular Plaça d'Espanya straight ahead and from here you can divert yourself to different neighborhoods. It was built right at the foot of Montjuïc for the International Exhibition held in 1929. We are happy that we are living right next... More

A very large busy centre with a lot of shopping in what was the old bull ring - the building is worth a visit. On other sides of the Placa there are Venetian pillars leading up to the fountains of Monjuic and MNAC (National Art Museum) More

Before proceeding to MNAC and Castell de Montjuic, i have to pass Plaza de Espana - an intersection to different points in the city. It is also one of the metro station stop. Lot of attractions are near the plaza e.g. Caixa Forum, Poble Espanyol, Fira de Barcelona, etc. Nice place to visit when you are in Barcelona! More
