This is mostly natural history with some archeology and anthropolgy thrown in. Some English with the videos and some displays.The part on volcanoes was particulary good. Make sure to eat in the stylish restaurant - very gaudiesque decor and interesting and unusual tapas (first Japoburger I've had)

The Museum of Nature and Man has organised a modern museum exhibition project to present the investigation and conservation work conducted over the decades by the Museum of Natural Science and the Archaeological Museum of Tenerife. The result offers an insight into the natural wealth of the Canary Islands on the one hand, and on the other, it is a chance to discover the largest existing collection on the Guanche culture. The Guanches are the aboriginal people that inhabited Tenerife before the arrival of the first European conquerors.

Don't go to this museum if you don't speak Spanish! While I'm sure it's interesting I couldn't understand a thing.... Quite disappointing!

I've visited the Museo de la Naturaleza y el Hombre several times, most recently with two children aged 11 and 12. There are many interesting exhibits about the original inhabitants of the Canary Islands (Guanches), including how they made their clothing, cooking implements and tools.
If you are not squeamish, you can also have a look at a Guanche "mummy"....
