A very unusual castle, being exactly circular. Maintained in good condition and well marked out for visitors with a logical route to see everything culminating in magnificent views from the top. Just a pity it's not permitted to go up the tower to the final level. History of the castle well depicted in the museum areas. Very interesting.

Well worth the walk up to the castle which gives lovely views over the bay. There is a children's play area half way up where the locals seem to go for a picnic.
We were initially planning on taking a local bus and walking up the stairs, but because the bus didn't come for an hour and then when it passed it was full and didn't stop we ended up taking a taxi instead.
We got dropped off at the top and was very happy the kids were free. One adult cost 4...

Excellent value for money at 4 euros if you are on the hop on/off tour bus (15 euros for 24hrs) as it goes right past it. Puts National Trust prices to shame! A bit of history and the best view of Palma you are likely to get. Plus their is a café/bar to recovery at if you decide to walk/cycle...

Had been in Palma before but not the castle Would advise a visit (2 euros for pensioners). It is very impressive!
Ideal to visit if you are on the Hop on hop off tour bus.
The exhibitions that were on display - I loved the paintings and sculptures but their description were too text-heavy. An amazing place to look out over Palma.
I actually walked all the way down to the port from the castle and it was a nice walk...

We caught the tour bus up to the castle , amazing views of palma and the local area, but, the castle closes at lunchtime on Mondays . We got some great pictures but it would have been nice to see inside. There is a great little bar with very friendly staff , so we spent our time there!
Fabulous sandstone castle with the most amazing views of the city and ocean. Walk up through the woods like the locals and back down the many steps. Take a bus back into town and find the harbor. You will have experienced the many ways of viewing this lovely city.
On a sunny day I recommend the “Hop on Hop off Bus” to get there, otherwise a long steep walk up to the castle also is OK. The castle itself probably is more of interest for children. The Museum has some interesting information about its history and Mallorcas as well.
The ticket office is close to the parking with a...
