OK, San Sebastian is known for its Pintxos...but you have Pintxos and Pintxos. Do a tour with the San Sebastian Food company and you'll find out a lot more in one evening than you ever will in a week on your own. Personnel is very helpful, when we were late and phoned a girl just cycled back and briefly opened... More

Whilst the tour was informative and fun, I found that the amount you get to eat and drink was really rather mean. Over the course of 2 and a half hours we had 1 pintxo (typically one mouthful) at each bar, and sometimes an additional 1 or 2 to share between 8 of us. There was a good variety of... More

We decided to do the tapas tour, but there are so many great options to choose from, we could be entertained for days. Our guide was fantastic and we enjoyed getting to know the others in our group. We tasted great tapas and it was a nice introduction to the food and the area. If you are going to San... More

I was part of a 26 strong group that toured the City with members of Jon's team. The organisation, professionalism and passion shone through. I could not praise the experience highly enough!

San Sebastian Food took our party of four on a three hour private tour of the old town Pinxtos bars between 8pm and 11pm on Saturday night, and we had a fabulous time. The guide, Lourdes, was fluent in english and knowledgable about the history of San Sebastian. She knew the best places to taste the wonderful food and which... More

San Sebastian food provided a wonderful guided tour of the old town bars and restaurants with many different tastings of pintxos which was a great learning experience and a very pleasant evening. We almost didn't book the Pintxo tour thinking that we could navigate the bars on our own. And sure, we could have pointed at items on the counter and maybe ordered a few hot items from the list and had a good time in SS. But by taking this tour on our first day, we had much more confidence ordering... More

We booked the cooking class and were not disappointed! It started with a walk around the market with a restaurant chef. It was very interesting as he had a lot to tell us about the different produce. After that we visited his 'gastronomic society'. It is a very interesting institution in San Sebastian where food-loving people come together in a... More

What a wonderful city, so majestic. Great expansive beach. Local tapas bars here are great not like the south of Spain. We were visiting relations, so the conducted tour was personal to Jose Luis. Looking forward to re-visiting.

A guided tour over two days was arranged for a group of eight of us from the UK. We were delighted with the service and Jenny Siddall was very professional and knew a vast amount about her subject, the production of Rioja wines. We had a varied itinerary, visited a number of wine makers, had a comfortable hotel and were... More
