I personally can not understand people that use the I am not a believer excuse to give this church a low rating. I don't believe or have been to church for a long time now but I still thought and appreciated how amazing the architecture was on and in this building was. It is easily the most recognisable building in... More

Maybe for a believer... The place is very ordinary and there is nothing so impressive to visit. Of course, I am not a believer and this may affect my evaluation.

The basilica is new by European standards, but is nevertheless captivating. It's partitioned into many different spaces that are interesting to explore, had an enormous organ that predates the basilica, and has a Moorish feel to its design in places (such as its towers that look a bit like minarets). There's even bombs from the Civil War on display. All... More

Did not know what to expect of Zaragosa so was surprised to find this big ornate beautiful Basilica. Inside was such a surprise as it screams of wealth, not something you expect to find in a smaller city. Free entry makes it a bonus and don't forget to go up the tower to get the best view over the city... More

From both outside and inside, it has an impressive architecture. Get amazed by its high and marvelous transepts. The place outside is worthy to walk up and down and stop for a coffee or some tapas at any of its bars, while enjoying the view. The river is just behind, don't miss the view of the Basilica from the other... More

Mass said twice daily. No English for us so we found history separately. The plaza el pilar is huge, clean and full of Things to see. Tourist info is near as are many museums and churches. Easy parking under the plaza. Most of the attractions in the old city are free.

This church is heavily visited by pilgrims due to the presence of a statue of Mary on a pillar which to the faithful has performed miracles. According to legend, Mary appeared to James the Apostle and gave him the carved statue of herself, along with yhe pillar upon which it rests. The church also houses paintings by Goya. It is... More

Wonderful to see inside and out!!! Make sure to walk by it at night, as it looks eerie, yet romantic all lit up!! Inside is huge and there's a lot to admire. Its completely free and if your lucky you can see a service take place too. The only thing is don't take photos inside!!! Me and my partner got... More

I was overwhelmed by the sheer size of this Basilica. There are multiple chapels in the building, all large enough to be Churches in their own right. It goes without saying that it is worth visiting, you can easily spend an hour wandering around, we did!

This church is enormous, majestic and worth a visit. You may find lots of people everyday, since it´s the most well known church in Saragoça and the most used for wedding celebrations!
