Travamunde is a bus ride from Lubeck. Well worth a visit. The walk along the front is invigorating. There were lots of people on the beach flying kites, despite the October cold wind. Nice shops along the harbour, including coffee shops with cakes. More

Travemunde is the closest beack on te Baltic Sea from Lübeck. It is nice enough but is nothing extraordinary. It is sandy, I guess it gets crowded during summer and there is big ugly building right on th beach. However, I still recommand going there if you are staying in Lübeck for more than 2 days, it's a nice change... More
