Unfortunately the museum is closed during winter times but the castle and park covered in snow is nice to look at and very different to summer times.

Very nice place with well kept gardens and park famous for its Magnolia tree - one of oldest in Europe. Special glass house has been build there to preserve this tree during winter.

Most attractive gardens. Well worth a stroll ariund the riverside castle. very peaceful. Very accessible to Dresden. take the tram no 2 to its terminus and walk for 10 mins to the ferry across the River Elbe. The castle is visible from the ferry.

we travelled to Pilnitz on the hop-on-off bus, and there wasn't any time at all for visitation of the Schloss itself. None of my visitors hesitated to enter the Pillnitz Park inspite of the entrance fee. This seems to be opposite the the Pillnitz people, doesn´t it? They enjoyed the Park and found it worthy the dime.
