During our visit in Düsseldorf we bought a welcome card at the tourist information center. We had free access for aquazoo. Fee is about 7 euros so we thought that it would be a small zoo. A nice small museum and aquarium. Worthwhile a visit on a rainy day. Easy to reach with metro. Gave renewed look.

The Aquazoo was interesting , a great size, fantastic information delivered in an easy to understand way for children and so although it was great from a photographer's perspective ( I did get some great shots!) I would highly recommend it to families

The whole experience was just bland, nothing more than fish in tanks. There was one section in the middle with non-aquatic animals, but generally it was quite dull. The Aquarium was very disappointing. While I understand that fish don't need AS much space as larger animals, many exhibits seemed like the animals had little/no space for any type of activity. Took the family (adults + 2 kids 10 & 11yo) to the Aquazoo in Dusseldorf Had a great time and was great to see.

As Aquariums go, it rather run down and uninspired in parts, has little to no information in English, although €7 entry is very reasonable. As of April 2012 they were not able to take debit or credit cards which is extremely annoying.
