As of March 2013, it cost 3 Euro to go up to the observation terrace, and it is absolutely worth it! It is quite a climb, often in somewhat tight spaces, but it is brilliant to see the various enormous bells and then ultimately continue on up to the observation terrace. Magnificent cathedral around the corner from Caspar David Friedrich's birthplace. Fabulous concerts and bars next door where, if you're lucky, you'll hear organists practicing at night. Niftily eerie!

This cathedral steeple towers over the town of Griefswald. It's a prominent landmark in may of the photos I took throughout the rest of the town. The inside was large and cavernous, very gothic. It is a brick cathedral from the 14th century. Very impressive. Must see. Very nice and interested view from the tower. The cathedral had a couple of misfortunes like storm in the past. But still in very good condition

An exponent of the brick gothic style. It's very impressive because it is HUGE. I only saw it from the outside but am sure it is interesting to see from the inside.
