HafenCity is a must for all Hamburg visitors, the area is constantly changing with new stuff opening all the time. This area can be enjoyed at any time of year
I have heard that this part of Hamburg is quite expensive with very costly apartments overlooking the sea. Take a walk around Hafen City . The thing i enjoyed most was to have an ice cream next to the Unilever Building watching the huge cruise ships parked there.
With the HafenCity getting a lot livelier these days than was the case before, it is a great choice for a weekend stroll. People roaming around, cafes and restaurants full and inviting, wonderful buildings to look at - just great!
And so much more! Enjoy the rich architecture, vibrant city life and a great variety of museums. Whether you crave some eye candy, ice cream or culture, HafenCity is the place to go - a must-see if you ever make it to Hamburg!
Take a boat to have a nice time sailing through the cannals and flats, enjoying the view of the old buildings surround. Looks like Amsterdam sometimes.
Still mostly under construction, but you can tell that it is going be fantastic once the Elbphilharmonie is finished.
