This area has lots of great buildings to look at and should be on everyones list while they are in Bremen. Don't forget to say hello to the town musicians (Sculpture). More

Marktplatz has plenty to see: Rathaus, Cathedral of St. Peter, restaurants, Staue of the Knight Roland, Schutting (old trade centre), Sculpture of the Town Musician of Bremen of Brothers Grimm. South of Markt is Bottcherstrasse which is one of Bremen's most famous street. It is fulled with beautiful redbrik houses, galleries, shops, cafe. Another street to visit is Schnoor which... More

Below the town haul is the restaurant offering just drinkgs wine around 4euro glass and food we tried the cheese platter which was lovely cost 11 euro. The environment and settings are remarkable dating to 1405 - huge old barrels of wine - not to be missed More

If history was not enough to attract you here, beer should be! With Roland statue, Germany's version of Statue of liberty, the 'Bremen town musicians' and Ratsheller all the same spot you can promise yourself to a great evening. More

It is located in a quite nice area, the building is very nice. We couldn't visit the inside of the building, wish we did that. More

Look outside for the small statue of the Bremen Musicians. It gives you a taste of North German wit. Also look for the manhole covers with the coin slots. I do not remember what they cost; it is but a few pennies and well worth the cost of the surprise. More
