It was great to see the Brandenburg Gate. It was very tall and it looked over the rest of the buildings in the area. Over all, it was magnificent. More

This is basically a monument steeped in deep history. Do you have to see it? Answer is we are tourists so we go for it. Took a few shots, but serious photograpers will not add this to their albums.bottom line you can give it a miss! More

Obviously you can't miss the Brandenburg Gate if you walk down Unter Den Linden, and it's worth seeing for historical reasons. Unfortunately the area has turned into a garish cheap spectacle packed with tourists. More

It is the symbol for the city. Its destruction, occupation and rebirth. You simply cannot visit in berlin and not walk by. More

We stayed at the Adlon Hotel near this gate and could see it from the bedroom window, many tourists taking photos etc. a wonderful sight. More

I don't think you could be a tourist in Berlin without going to the Brandenburg Gate. It is a beautiful monument and so wrapped in history. It wan't too crowded when we were there and easy to walk around. It's a lovely walk down from the museums towards the Gate, lots of cafes, shops things to look at. Read up... More
