I want to say that I used to love walking around the old town of Nice, but nowadays as the night goes on it is now full of dangerous petty thieves which seems to be getting worse over my 5 years here. There is not enough police presence on the streets to stop that as far as I am concerned....

Just go and visit Nice Old Town! You will Love it trust me :) It is an amazing place and great restaurants and old church and you will find musicians performing on the streets!! Take your Cam and go!
This area is filled with restaurants of every caliber . Lively pubs, Italian cafes, shops and French bistros everywhere. There are many spots to enjoy dessert and a lovely fresh fruit and vegetable market.
Great restaurants and bars. Good value if you stick to the Plas du Jour and order the house wine in a pitcher. Much cheaper than at home!
This is my third trip to Nice and each time is great. The old part is fabulous to wonder around with its restaurants, bars, boutique shops and art galleries. Nip out across the road to the beach, then dive back into the maze of narrow streets and hidden gems. Love this place.
I loved just getting lost in the old winding lanes that cover this section of Nice. Very quaint and so many shops and restaurants to explore. Loads of charm and adventure around the next corner. Such a happening place and perfect for a afternoon or evening stroll and romantic to boot.
Lots of interesting squares and streets. Shops and churches in abundance a lovely lively place. Quite steep in places for any one with a walking disability.
The old town is quite dark and narrow in places, but there are a lot of shops, restaurants and cafes that are worth going to. It's easy to feel a bit lost in the centre, but stay close to the coast and there are some nice markets and bars that would be the best location to have an evening drink.
The old town of Nice is quaint with many winding strrets. It gets crowded in the evenings and the restaurants are always busy, especially after 8 p.m. Don't miss an ice cream at Azzurro's in the afternoon/evening and a walk down Cours Saleya market in the morning.
