Was lucky enough to live in Cannes for many years in the early noughtys and was a regular in Morrison's for most of that time. Returned in Sept 2012 and was pleased to see that nothing has changed....Morrison's remains a stalwart of the Cannes nightlife scene...a veritable excellent Irish pub with good music, good sports coverage and great place to... Located just off the shopping streets of Cannes 'Rue d'antibes' and the designer shopping street 'La Croisset' - Morrisons couldn't be better located. As a regular visitor to Cannes I am also a regular visitor to all of the Morrisons bars. The pub offers live music, pub atmosphere (not a common Cannes thing) and on one lucky visit - a... More
After reading many good reviews, I decided to explore this bar. It's okay, it's just overrated because of skewed ratings. It's good for a younger crowd, but if you are looking for a lounge bar...then you might be a little disappointed. Worth a visit for a few cocktails.
Just finished the weirdest night. We went for a drink in The Lounge's sister bar next door where there was a band. They were good but we were looking for something a little more upbeat. Wandered into the Lounge and we were greeted by about 6 inches of sand on the floor!! Somebody said Beach Party in a French accent... More
Spent most nights out in Cannes in Morrison's. Live sport on when available and happy hour half price drinks early evening. Drinks in Cannes are expensive, however was told by an old bloke in the pub that this was one of the cheaper places, and one of the liveliest/better places to drink at in Cannes. Would recommend anyone visiting Cannes... More
We went to Monaco for the Grand Prix this year and stayed in Cannes. The prices are crazy in the South of France but this place was an oasis in the middle of the madness. Cannes gets more expensive during the Film Festival but this place keeps the Irish Happy Hour going while all the others stop. The staff were... More
I've been a couple times. On weekends it gets more crowded and there's usually a DJ, during the week it's more laid back and sometimes there is a musician in the corner or some Dropkick Murphys playing on the speakers. Friendly, English-speaking bartenders. And there are only woman's restrooms.
The joint was kicking on a Tuesday night. the semi professional open mic session broughta good crowd of locals, expats, holidaymakers, convention attendees, and serial gap year/decade types who gravitate towards Irish bars overseas. €6.50 for a pint of lager.
