It was interesting to see the process, but there were only 3 women there that day. Everything is in French, so it is difficult for non-French speakers to make much sense out of the information. Still, worth a visit, if you want to see how handmade lace is made and how labor-intensive it is.

There is probably a lot more to this place than I saw, but I was amazed at how lace is made. Evidently, not many people actually make lace - at least by hand - any more. There was a lady in there, I'll call her the teacher, that was guiding her "student" on her lace making project. Watching them work... More

Watched a master lace maker at work flipping her spindles(?) at great speed to create the lace pattern beneath. Some good examples on show but a better range is to be seen at the lace museum in Chantilly, where the ladies who run the museum are much nicer!

Very interesting to see. You can look at the ladies making laces and wondering how they do it, there are so many pins! Do no touch at the lace exhibited. Not all the ladies are friendly they are maybe fed up to be disturb.

This was small, but worth a stop, thought it would be more to it, in and out...
