Old part of Perpignan worth visiting, especially the Palais des Rois and the Chapelle, climb to the top, lovely views over the town
So the keep (Donjon) is located in a very pretty, old building that's in the center of the old town. Do go up -- the view is worth the climb! Fantastic 360-degree views. We went up on a very windy day, but that didn't detract from the pleasure of the stunning views one bit.
With 162 steep steps up a narrow stone spiral staircase this is not for the faint hearted or the unfit. However, there is a chance to catch your breath at several rooms on the way up and the views from the top are magnificent. You can even see the sea!
It was interesting but not extremely memorable. Definitely a nice thing to do if you are hanging out in Narbonne.
