Mind blowing experience. Go in the afternoon immediately after lunch to avoid rush and be ready to spend the rest of the day there to do any justice! Even then you will have to select what you like and do only that! Probably rush thru the rest if you don't don't intend to come back again!

What can you say? This is simply the best museum in the world! I must confess, I broke the rules and had my wife take my picture with me standing by "Starry Night" by Van Gogh (no flash), it is perhaps my favorite painting. There was a crowd around the Mona Lisa, but there always is. I am handicapped with... More

Too big, too crowded, ttoo much of everything. You "have" to go, but will do so with little joy or enthusiasm. The big 3: Mona Lisa, Winged Victory, and the Venus de Milo are there to be seen. We saw them---and ran for the door...

Awe inspiring.. Amazing art collection on display. Be prepared for long waiting times and huge crowds especially during peak hours. To avoid crowds, better to go in very early. Visit would take minimum 2-3hours atleast.

So famous! I went there thru metro entrance, quite convenient. and no much people to queue on 9:30AM. Inside the museum, it is not as crowdy as expected. The only issue is the toilet is less, need to walk long way to find.

One of the most amazing sites we've ever seen! I will share that we were put in touch with a private guide, so it was just 3 of us, and it was worth every penny! It was a 2 hour tour, but she gave us an extra hour. We saw things we never would have seen and learned so much... More

The crowds were horrendous. We had the museum pass so we didn't have to wait to get in, but the crowds were so large it was really hard to enjoy anything. What we say we did enjoy, but all I can say now is "I've been to the Louvre." Wouldn't go back.

It all looks nice, but it's too big. The staff do not give proper descriptions; they purposely send you on a wrong or long path so that you would ve forced to see their pieces. The interior maps are not helpful either. There is an entrance fee, but we went during the Nuit des Musées, which was the day on... More

Most people want to view Mona Lisa; however the museum has so much more. You could easily spend several days there. I have visited this museum twice in 2009 and 2013. It is impossible to have a leisurely tour of the museum due to the crowds. There are less crowds at Musee d'Orsay and no crowds at Musee Orangerie and... More
