Amazing place to give a visit! As walking through the beautiful villages in Alces you wonder is it a dream ? a child hood cartoon? or reality! It took me two days to come back to reality! Hansel and Gratel cake house is everywhere! A trip for everyone as it leaves it's beautiful, peaceful memories for days/ months and am... More

We spent a week in Colmar, France, which is in the Alsace Region. This is the home of some of the finest, white wines of anywhere in the world. There is also a vast store of ww2 history to be found. It is full of rolling hills covered with grapes, museums, beautiful towns dating back hundred's of years, fine churches,... More

Small vineyards almost around every corner, some have been visited by me many times now, but it is always a treat to drive around this part of France and sample wines that I really enjoy. Clearly, also returning home with a selection of wines from various growers directly adds to the fun of the trip. A great part of france.

The northerly part is less pretty but the further south you go the prettier it gets, so I would recommend travelling north-south. There are so many places to eat along the way in the little villages you'll be spoiled for choice. Bergheim was a particularly nice walled city that has a walk around the ramparts. There is plenty of wine... More

Such a nice trip , really charming villages all the way - cute hotels and stays ( even though most where quiet expensive ) . A trip for all ages, beautiful landscapes , nature. People in Alsace are really sweet !

During my 4 days in this region of Alsace, I had the occasion to visit a number of the typical villages around Colmar. The traditional architecture in the old towns makes strolling around a visual feast. My favorites were Eguisheim, Kaysersberg, Ribeauvillé, and Riquewihr but there are many more which are less touristic and probably just as beautiful. I would... More

On the southern end of the wine route, this little village is quintessential France. It is steeped in history and wine and wonderful people. We stayed in this town for three days and enjoyed the village walks and the drives to nearby villliages. For us, this was a perfect place to relax and enjoy being in France and sharing it... More

Wine road contains a lot of small towns inside wineyards, all those towns are beautiful like towns from children tales and stories. You can find here children attractions and castles, hiking and excellent restaurants - every kind of time spending you can imagine

La Route des Vins is a nice place to drive into, to drink wine (degustations) and to drive. But to visit better, I suggest doing your daily footing in it, or geocaching. It has religious statues and even an old roman way in it !
