When you circle it, you can see all the waterfalls surrounding the lake. It's a beautiful drive around the lake.

The waterfall at Glencar is supposedly the main attraction, but being from Tennessee, the waterfall wasn't impressive at all. The Lake, however, is absolutely gorgeous. There are also lots of sheep grazing in a pasture nearby which make for some really pretty photos, if you're not tired of sheep by then.

Not spectacular, but an extremely pleasant, and dare I say it, romantic location, enhanced in our case by arriving there just before sunset on a lovely day; nice drive to get to the lake too.

We were travelling around sligo and were sent to see the waterfall in glencar, which was very beautiful. the couple of days beforehand were very wet so we kind of expected it to be quiet something but it was smaller then expected, still very beautyful and magical. a short enough walk along it gave us a chance to take pictures... On our way to somewhere else we saw the "brown sign" to Glencar Waterfall. Being a sucker for those brown signs-none of which have steered us wrong- we followed it and found a most beautiful place. There were many waterfalls on the way to the waterfall. Glencar itself is a small one, but beautiful none the less. The views of... More

From the road above the lake on a sunny day, the waterfall looks magical. Then drive down form the sign posted road to the lake, and visit the waterfall up close.
