The castle is a pretty backdrop for a lovely park. If you have good weather you should buy some local Irish cheese and have a little picnic on the grounds.

The castle is currently undergoing renovations after being empty for sometime. The grounds are beautiful, as is the interior that has been remodeled. The collections of furniture and portraits are made even more interesting by the helpful information given freely by the delightful docents. I highly recommend stopping by!
Lots of history here. Guides stationed throughout the castle are eager to answer questions and tell you about the rooms you're visiting.

It was a lovely day out, the history of the castle was very enjoyable. The weather was a very hot day and the grounds around the castle was busy with people having picnics, it was lovely to see. Every one looked like they were enjoying themselves
loved this castle only a 6 euro charge and plenty to see very good value The café was nice too and very reasonable
The outside view of the castle doesn't give a clue to the magnificent grounds inside. This was a family home to a wealthy aristocratic family for several hundred years before it was left to the nation in a badly run-down state. Gives a great idea of how the idle rich lived in past times! There is enough to see inside...
