We got lucky as our tour of the Ring of Kerry allowed us enough time to go check this out. The entire area is just beautiful!

Liked the guided tour, but wish we could have taken pictures. Would have also been interested in seeing a view from the top of the castle. But overall our tour guide was very knowledgeable and for a reasonable price.

We took a horse cart tour to the castle through the park and it was amazing! It was cold, it rained, it snowed and then the sun came out and we enjoyed every minute of each season in our afternoon!

Enjoyed our tour of the castle--good activity since it was a rainy day. Very informative guide who welcomed questions.

Very informative tour! The tour guide really knew her information. Made it come alive. Be prepared for windy medieval steps. But safe!

My husband and I loved, loved, loved this place! We are both really into history so when I saw that you could go through it on a guided tour I was so happy! And we had a fantastic tour guide! He gladly answered any questions that the group had. You could definitely get an idea of how the people lived... More

Nice guided tour and beautiful setting for a cheap price, if you have the time , worth a visit, especially if the sun is out and the swans and ducks are around.

It is a nice 'little' walk and all flat from Killarney. You can take the boat to Dennis cottage from there and then hike the Gap of Dunloe if you fancy

The only way to see the inside of the castle is with a tour, which is VERY much worth your time! They tell you so much about the people who lived in the castle, as well as the construction and various interesting facts - things you'd never know without a guide. We got the OPW Heritage Card (ordered it through... More

This castle has been beautifully reconstructed and filled with original period furniture, giving you an impression what life might have been like in late medieval Ireland. It is located directly by a lake in a very picturesque way. (So much that it also seemed to be a great location for wedding photo shoots - we saw two!) You can also... More
