I experienced a jaunting cart tour on a recent visit to Ireland as part of a tour group. Personally, I was not that impressed with the Jaunting Cart ride. We took a tour into Killarney National Park, and our Jarvey, seemed nice enough, but we could not even understand the poor fella. He had such a thick irish brogue, and... More

We took a jaunting car ride in Killarney and it was one of the highlights of our vacation in Ireland. We were pleased to find a very amiable driver (Mike) with a beautiful horse (Black). Mike took us to Muckross House and chatted with us a long the way telling us about Killarney (he was born and raised there) and... More

Every time I bring my wife to NYC or Philly she sees the jaunting car (horse and carriage, etc.) and she says: "I want to experience that." I kept saying that "we are going to Killarney and they have that." Well she loved it at Killarney National Park...well, mostly...she wasn't thrilled with all the horse hair that floats back to... Our host was great fun, and although some of the trip was on roads, the time on paths away from traffic was spectacular. Beautiful views, and a lovely outdoor experience. A true highlight of our 10 day trip through Ireland. Bring warm clothing. More

I experienced the one hour jaunting tour to the Ross Castle. This is a great tour to take. Our tour guide was engaging, knowledgeable and on time. The tour takes you through the meadows of Killarney park ending at the Ross castle. Just spectacular. This tour should be booked if in the area. The price is really reasonable too. The... More

When you get to Killarney, Jaunting cars will be everywhere and are super easy to arrange and hire! I was glad we did not prebook, as when we got there I was able to choose a jaunting car based on which horses looked best cared for and which cart looked fun to ride in! (The open carts where driver and... More

Our adventure was to go through the gap of Dunloe, have refreshments at Lord Brandon's cottage area and then boat back down the Killarney Lakes to Ross Castle. We were picked up by the lovely Laura Tangney (her family own the Killarney Jaunty Cars business) and her husband, from the Ross Castle carpark (on the dot when she said she... More

Take your time when seeing Killarney. We combined a tour of Muckross and the National Park with Ross Castle for a duration of 3 hours. We were guided by a 4th generation driver named Michael which made our experience even more unique. Sally was our steed for the day and she was beautifully natured. Although the day was wet and... Great trip from Muckross house and gardens to Torc Waterfall. Cost was 30 Euro for max 4 people for our guide to take us out to the waterfall, wait for us to walk to the falls for photos and then return us to the gardens. On the way he explains all about the area etc. A very enjoyble ride when... More
