I really hate to say it, but this is the one place on my trip to Dublin I really wish I had skipped. I spent €16 on the museum admission plus a self guided audio tour of the cemetery. The museum consists of a film and interactive exhibit in the basement, and then a touch screen presentation on Daniel O'Connell... More

Sorry, we went and found the tours were very infrequent....none for us - so we never saw anything. There is a dire need to have half-hourly tour commencements so that less people miss out. More

Nice museum, interesting stones and history behind it. Bus 40 or 140 from the city will get you there. More

The museum here is quite small but nonetheless interesting. Highlight though is the tour of the cemetery of at least part of it. We went of Sunday and the tour had too many people on it, but M-F it would be excellent. It's a short way out of the city and not on the hop on hop off tour, but... More

Take good walking shoes, this place is HUGE. I've never seen a cemetary like it, a must see when in Dublin. More

My expectations of this attraction may have been a little too high given the number 2 ranking it has in Dublin. The tour was excellent and the guide imparted knowledge in a highly amusing manner. The Museum was underwhelming and the cafe very overpriced. More

The guide we had (sorry, can't remember her name) obviously loved showing people around and sharing a bit of Ireland's history with us. Everyone in our group was very interested and asked lots of questions, which is a good sign, because it was freezing that day and if it hadn't been good, I'm sure we would have been rushing to... This was my second time to take the tour. I took in more information the second time around. Our guide Laura was excellent, informative, approachable and with a good sense of homour. Has the knack for storytelling and imparting history in a relaxed way so that you don't realise how much your taking in. Well worth a roam around rest... More
