went back for my second tour/visit but my first time in the museum downstairs, six euro entry fee is a rip-off, very very small museum with very little on display, so not worth six euros, they should seriously think of reducing the fee if not getting rid of it altogether. the tour on the other hand is well worth the... Very organized and friendly. Was able find an unmarked grave dating back to 1837. No headstone or other marker. The geneology addition was worth the trip. We are now in the process of adding a stone marker that is long overdue. The tour (with guide) indicated many famous Irish dignitaries. Park across the street from the main entrance (2 euros/day),... I lived in Dublin for 21 years without knowing what an interesting place Glasnevin Cemetery is. So I returned as a tourist and had my eyes opened. The simple truth is that anyone who was anyone in Irish history, art or life is buried here. Our tour began with an actor in uniform giving us the words of Padraig Pearse... More

We paid a recent visit to Glasnevin Cemetery having heard good reports of the museum and the tour. We didn't explore the museum but joined a tour with Shane MacThomais and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Shane is the best guide ever - on top of his subject but blessed with a wry sense of humour and full of smart asides and... More

Must see attraction in Dublin – located 20 minutes’ drive north of downtown – Glasnevin Cemetery is one of the must see attractions in Dublin. The guided tours are giving you all the inside information and historical data about the cemetery. They have audio video presentation inside their lobby and also historical information underground – it is called THE DEAD... More

We visited Glasnevin Cemetery on a Sunday afternoon. We found it very interesting and visited the graves of many known and unknow people and the little angels plot. It is a place that makes you calm and respectful. A prayer was said for all. We wanted to do the tour but at 12 euro pp its was a little dear.... More

used to be just a cemetery but a lot of work has been done to make the place more of an attraction, one day it bucketed rain and I stood in the graveyard saying hello to my dad...I was the only live person in the place, worth a visit

This was a very interesting tour, it gave a good insight into Irish history that would interest a visitor without expecting them to be history students. I would recommend it to visitors as it doesn't take too long and is only a short bus journey to the city centre. It is adjacent to the Botanic gardens, an excellent free attraction.

Wayyyy to far from city center. We walked there, took about 45 min and it was really not worth it, although it is a big and beautiful cemetery i wont recomend it to anyone Who is the city for only a couple of days
