I was on a bus trip to the New Lanark World Heritage Village on Wednesday 15th May and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for something different to do. I found that there simply wasn't sufficient time to do everything in one day to get the most out of the different things on offer and feel that this is... More

Thank you for leaving some fantastic advice for future visitors. We agree that hiking boots are a great idea - especially if you want to take a walk up the falls. The village really is beautiful in the sunshine - you can see some pictures above taken in the sunny weather. We look forward to welcoming you back when you... More

Called here on our way back down South. Well worth a few hours to visit this attraction. Modern presentations on an old industrial site. Well signposted, good information at all points and a generally pleasant experience

Wonderful buildings and shops . Went inside the mill house and learnt about how the wool was made back in the 1800's and how it's made today - we seen the whole thing in action and it was all very exciting ! Then we went on the attraction ride and learnt all about this girl and life in the 1800's... More

What a busy day you had - it's always fun to dress up in old costumes, no matter what age you are and the historic classroom is great for a trip back in time. Thanks for taking the time to write a lovely review of our visitor attraction. More

Spent a lovely bank holiday Monday visiting the mill buildings, the shop, the school etc. I hadn't heard about this place or Robert Owen, and found the whole experience really interesting. What a wonderful forward thinking man, with a great vision, who helped improve the lives of the mill workers and gave children a great start in life. The staff... More

We had a quick look at the mill buildings from the outside, but main purpose of visit was to walk for about a mile up the Clyde valley to look at the waterfalls and see a pair of falcons nesting in the cliff opposite a viewing point. At this time of year they are about to hatch chicks. Helpful Scottish... More

We are delighted that the peregrines have nested at the Falls of Clyde once again and the SWT set up is great for helping visitors spot them. We are glad you enjoyed your trip and thank you for taking the time to write a review! More

Fantastic views, great information on mill life and restoration of this former mill village. Food in the restaurant was good. Well stocked shop. Pleasant walks to the waterfalls. And informative and friendly staff.

The New Lanark site makes for a very interesting visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful at all times, the whole site is in very good condition - and it's huge! It is fascinating to see how Owen tried to make the working conditions human(e). But of course you benefit from the whole experience a lot more if you... More

Thank you for writing a four star review on New Lanark World Heritage Site. We agree, it definitely does show just how forward thinking Robert Owen was if you have a bit of background knowledge on the Dark Satanic Mills - although we do try to convey this throughout the exhibition! More

We spent the half a day at New Lanark driving from Edinburgh, a pleasant and easy drive. The site is impressive and pleasant to walk around. But what impressed us most was that it reminded us how great a man Robert Owen was. His ideas and principles are brought out in a fun way, even for children, showing us through... More

We have managed to get to Scotland as Tourists, not on business as usual. We spent today(17th April) at New Lanark, a World Heritage Site and it was exceptional. We cannot remember the last time we were awe inspired by an attraction. The whole site was set out in beautiful surroundings and is a living community. The visual displays were... More

Beautiful area and brilliant visitor centre. As you enter the centre, your first 'activity' is probably the best, the Annie Mcleod experience is a fantastic dark ride through time. My only problem with it was the fact that even though a lot of money had been spent on the ride system, the scenery as the attraction progressed was fairly lo... More
