We've been there twice or so, one in October, and it was lovely and folkloristic, but in January it looked like another place! Cold wind was almost killing us and no one was around. A bit creepy, I'd say. Still lovely in general

Visited this location on a lovely Saturday in June. It is tucked away between the river Dee and the industrial section of the harbour. A walk south along the esplanade will bring you to it. It is very quaint and some of the "cottages" are decorated in a bizarre manner. Look out for the Moose warning sign. Well worth a...

Even though it's quite close to the industrial zone of Aberdeen harbour, the little village is a really nice place to go for a walk around, see the old light house from and enjoy the scenery. Well worth it.
I saw this on trip advisor before visiting Aberdeen and we ended up going at the tail end of a tour which was mostly outside the city. While it was interesting, this is a 10-15 minute activity maximum and you really need someone (or perhaps some literature on it) to explain the history to you. Otherwise you'll be wondering why...

Whether it's sunshine or showers it is lovely to walk along the beach at the south end of the promenade, climb the stairs, past the children's play park and then along the tiny streets of Footdee "Fittie".
Took an early morning walk down Union Street then on to Beach Boulevard before hitting the beach and taking a right past the pleasure mile. Footdee is at the end of the prom and is a delightfuly quirky trendy retro village. Tiny fishermans cottages and huts some of which are decorated in an naive folk art kind of way. We...

This place is great to see when the weather is nice, it has everything one expects of seaside, quaint fishermen's cottages, beautiful beaches, little coffee shops, kiosks and boutiques not too far away, running trail by the beach, and so on. Don't miss out on cute Old Harbour Master's house in the shape of lighthouse, and the new Maritime department...

Cute little fishing village very pretty takes a matter of minutes to walk round tho so would advice for it to b something you do as well as something else and not plan to stay the whole day if you visiting Aberdeen as you may be disappointed
Interesting to walk around this small village which does not appear to have changed over the last 150 years. Surrounded by docks and pleasure beach. Apart from looking at the quaint old cottages not much else to do but a pleasant 1 hour walk.
Nice quiet area near the centre of Abredeen where one can step back in time. Free parking and lovely narrow lanes to walk through.
