The beach is great! Really child friendly, shallow sloping. It is easy to loose a whole day here! Car parking was reasonable for the day. Toilets were clean and tidy (which is usually surprising for beach front facilities!) The only negative would be the The Coalhouse Restaurant, a new addition to the beach scene. The quality and presentation of the... More

What a beautiful bay. Unspoilt, with beautiful golden sands and so amazingly quiet. We went on a Thursday and were amazed that there were only a tiny handful of people there. Parking is easy (£3.50 for the day) and right on the beach. It started quiet and got even quieter the further we walked away from the car park and... More

We stayed at the Estate Office (bungalow/cottage) Absolutely superb for anyone in a wheelchair or disabled as the interior and surrounding patio area are completely flat. Brilliant bathroom for wheelchair bound person. Lovely atmosphere, superb quality beds/bedding/furnishings. Lovely cosy and interesting cottage. All you need for a great stay. A glimpse of the sea in the distance and a short... More

Oxwich Bay is a quiet, beautiful, dog friendly beach which will have a new restaurant on site by the time you read this. It is a venture set up by the owners of Penrice Castle, who will be sourcing it with their own organic meat and veg. I cannot recommend highly enough the holiday cottages available on the Penrice estate. They... More

This is one of the Gowers best beaches and dune areas, plenty or room for people to explore or just sit and sunbathe, dogs are welcome all year round, parking is charged at £3.00 a day but is worth it especially if you want to explore the area, snack shop etc available as well, toilets on the beach front. it... Eat at Oxwich Bay hotel on beach virtually, go back for more beach afterwards. 'nuff said. Found Razor clam, took it home cooked it, ate it. Dog ran himself into ground and some, rain was not a show stopper in any way, and when sun came out you could not wish to be anywhere else...

This is a beautiful beach, totally unspoiled with lovely sand dunes which we enjoyed exploring. You have to pay £3 to park for the day. It has good accessibility from the car park and a little shop selling a selection of light snacks at reasonable prices such as panini's, chips etc which were surprisingly good. There are also toilets. The... More

This area of Gower has a huge beach of golden sand running from Rhossili to Oxwich. Oxwich is probably the best place to gain access onto the beach if you have children in tow as you drive straight into a car park which is right on the beach. Dogs are allowed on this beach unlike most of the other tourist... More
