I may be biased as I am resident in Cardiff but you can spend a day here and it probably would not be enough to see everything the Bay has to offer. Walk down by the Norwegian church, taking in the wonderful scenery as you do, the carvings embedded on the wall/walkway as you go, the monument erected to commerate... More

The barrage is like a giant lock, have never seen it open, would be quite impressive. More information boards would be an asset

This is a lovely walk from the Bay to Penarth with wonderful views of the Bay and Marina. Well thought out as a play ground for the kids, toilet facilities and places to stop and just admire the view. Of course there are several restaurants on the Bay side and Pier 64, and the Custom House House with its two... More

I love the transformation from what it used to be when we used to go to cardiff docks years ago. My friend and I go down there in the summer a lot

This place is very nice for walks or cycling. this is the place where the Cardiff bay meets the sea. IF you are lucky you can see the barrage getting opened for the ships to come and go ..

Well worth a visit as part of a walk around the Cardiff Bay area. Interesting to see boats entering the Bay from the Bristol Channel through the lock gates.

This is well worth a visit and is fascinating for young children. One of my favourite things to do is to park my car at the barrage, catch the little land train to the bay and have lunch, then catch boat back. Kids love.

This is such a great walk or bike ride and it is exciting watching the boats go through the locks. A good play area and skate park for the kids as well. There is also a good circular route approx 8 to 10K for a run or cycle if you are up for it.
