Very interesting house and gardens. Wonderful Chippendale furniture to see and all the 'Registered Volunteers' seemed to know their stuff. Loved the exhibition called, 'Objectivity' and the 'Clouds' art exhibition. We had an excellent tea and yummy cake (better than Betty's of Harrogate, I thought) overlooking the formal gardens and the lake in the distance. We spent nearly 5 hours... More

I only visited Harewood Gardens and Grounds, not the house. Unfortunately I didn’t have time enough to visit the different gardens and walk around. So I limited myself to visit the Terrace. And I don’t regret! The views of the House and countryside from the Terrace are overwhelming and magnificent. From the upper level of the Terrace you have a... More

A pleasant enough day out. Nice gardens and an interesting tour of the ground floor of the house. Refreshment facilities could be better, and we went on a busy day and had to park the car a long way from the house. Good, but not great

We enjoy our annual trip to Harewood. The play area is impressive, the bird garden has some pretty unusual stuff and the walks around the lake are pleasant. £10 per adult and £6 per child is a bit steep but to be fair, we were there all afternoon so not too bad. It just feels a bit limited in comparison... More

Firstly, there is some negativity about the pricing of Harewood House. My own opinion is that if you do everything on offer, i.e. gardens, house and bird garden, then it is value for money. If you only do a fraction of what there is, then it will work out as quite expensive. If you only want to have a picnic,... More

So last Saturday - being a nice day - my wife and I decided to have a picnic over in Leeds and take our two sons and a nephew with us (all of them at Leeds Uni). Cost for 5 adults to go and sit in a grass park area £77.00. £77.00 to sit in a grassy parkland. Tatton Park... More

We went to The Festival of Play at Harewood this bank holiday weekend and were very disappointed. Our tickets were £10 each for adults and £6 each for children. So after paying that, we then found that we had to purchase tokens at £2 each for each child for most activities, and then pay £2 cash for each child for... More

Still plenty to see and do, although much better if the weather is kind. Thought the bird garden is in a need of an update, although the children I was with enjoyed seeing the penguins. Overall a good day out with reasonable facilities.

We visited Harewood House and had a very enjoyable time there, the house is full of interesting furniture and paintings with a self guide in each room (laminated sheet). Take time to read through these as you will otherwise miss some fascinating facts. The 'Grand Staircase' was a bit of a let down as it is in the corner through... More

We went on a warm day and had a lovely time. The gardens are beautiful and full of surprising plants (look for the one that looks like giant rhubarb leaves). The bird garden was great. We were lucky enough to be there at feeding time and had a little chat with a member of staff who told us a bit... More
