It was a lovely treat - drinks and fish & chips on an old steam train as we whistled through the beautifully old, restored train stations on the way to Keighley! As we made the journey again there was a lovely band playing on Keighley station so you can have a boogie as well! a great trip well worth the... More

This was a real chance to get a glimpse of the past in motion; just as I can remember from my very early childhood. The time and effort that has gone into recreating this railway is commendable. The detail is outstanding and I loved the signage around the stations along the way. Memorable and very worthwhile.

Have just come back from a great day out at the "Haworth 1940's" week end. We went on the Saturday [ 18 May 2013] and again it was raining. Still this didn't dampen thing's for us as we spent a great day looking around a lovely town which was full to overflowing with people, including ourselves, dressed in period clothing.... More

Absolutely fabulous, from the trains to the stations and to the scenery. I only departed in Haworth but it was an unbelievably cute town, with a fantastic high street of independent shops, and everyone was very friendly. The only disappointment is the first couple of trains of the day are diesel, not steam, but even then I appreciated that they... More

Took advantage of residency (cheap travel) and treated Diane & kids - from Durham - to a round trip : an experience for sure when coupled with the obvious enthusiasm of the volunteers who staff the railway - keen to share their knowledge etc..... Rather let down when Diane spotted a KWVLR poster in a Main St (Haworth) shop -... More

Went on this railway recently with my grandchildren, one boy who is very interested in trains and one younger girl who usualy says 'not more boring trains'. But they both enjoyed the ride on the train and on an open topped bus. The staff were very friendly and hepful and the stations clean and well maintained. They both say that... More

Visited K&WVR for their annual Diesel Gala. Apart from a very quick visit in October 2012, this was a chance to explore more of this wonderful and excellently run heritage railway. Run by volunteers, it is really good to see the passion with all the staff on duty. They are a great bunch of guys!

The volenteer staff were very friendly and informative, trains wre very clean and well restored overall a enjoyable day out.

If you want to step back in time to the 1960s, here is the experience for you, but don't forget to bring the children along too - they will be transported into another world!
