I have read comments suggesting that the outer buildings were like a travel lodge. This is certainly not the truth. The first thing to say is that the staff are all well trained, efficient and friendly. The rooms are well appointed, self service breakfast 1st class. We had dinner in the hall restaurant on a set menu. Food was good.... More

I have just spent 2 days at Walton Hall care of a travelzoo offer, .The food here is superb however the accomodation is a little basic and tired. We stayed in the Coah house block. But having said that we really enjoyed our visit and it was great value for money

All, I booked and paid for a short trip to the HALL and was put up in the Stables so if you do decide to stay at THE HALL make certain that is where you end up. I think that the Stables use to be part of the Time share plan so you have a lower room which is sparse... More

An amazing place, where else does the reception have proper stain glass windows?? I'm going to be slightly swayed as we got a free upgrade as it was our wedding anniversary - there was a card and cake on arrival in the room. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy with the most amazing view. Food in... More

Walton hall, not Walton hotel, is a lovely place to stay. Rooms were spacious and clean. Large bathroom with bath & shower. The restaurant was very nice, great decor & lovely chandeliers. It seems at weekends the breakfast is buffet style but we had waiter service with breakfast cooked to order on Monday morning. We had booked 2 nights bed... More

We have just left Walton Hall after spending too short a time there. One night! Bed and breakfast special offer through laterooms.com. We were offered an upgrade when we arrived for a small sum. I would recommend you jump at the chance. The room was spectacular with a bathroom to match. The bed was huge and so comfortable that only... More

Wow what a place! Bought a Travelzoo deal that included a room in the coach house, (a building next door to Walton hall). A 3 course dinner, bottle of wine upon arrival and a full breakfast. We got married on the 23/3/13 and wanted a couple of nights away to unwind and relax. Walton hall is a large stately house... More

Swimming pool very small. Changing room facilities only two showers and neither door locked. Gym so overcrowded it looks busy without anyone being in, as there is so much equipment. For a group Hotel (Puma) very disappointing.

Came for an overnight stay here after buying an amazing deal which included breakfast and a 3 course dinner with wine. The hotel is beautiful and following advice on Trip Advisor we paid a little extra to stay in the old original building. This was a really good idea especially as we had dreadful weather and thus avoided a walk... More

Great location and facilities for a business conference, or short stay. Rooms in the annex are large and well presented. Food was ok for a fixed 3 course menu, tomato soup, chicken with veg and a small chocolate cake.
