Both riverbanks are fantastic. It´s a really pleasant area to walk and anjoy the landscape, full of pubs and restaurants if you want to eat something. There is also possible to hire a boat and have a small trip in the river. More

This is beautifully presented with tables inside and coffee/tea/scones etc offered on arrival. The gentleman has a great sense of humour and made the tour an absolute pleasure. Would hightly recommend it. More

Took a 45 min trip down the Avon with Bancroft - two great guys in charge... good sense of humour and very down to earth. Even had a lovely cuppa on board. More

We were one of the last boats able to travel up to the Avon before flood water closed the river to navigation. The river is beautiful and well worth visiting, as is Bancroft Basin, where traditional narrowboats moor. The heavy rains had left the Avon quite high but we still attempted a walk along the riverside path. It is a beautiful river and we enjoyed our walk despite having to move onto the Green way path after about a mile. More
