We loved being shown round the school by two enthusiastic pupils who had taken time out from their Easter holidays to share their knowledge with us.

Beside the Guild Chapel is the Grammar School attended by Shakespeare and it remains one to-today! Attached to it are the 16th century Almhouses provided by the Guild of the Holy Cross for the poor of the town. Both are Tudor fronted & extremely attractive building in good repair. I would have loved to have gone in to see what... More

To be able to see the very school where Shakespeare was educated is indeed a joy. It is in the center of town and very easy to get to. Go and be schooled!

We were so fortunate to be in Stratford on one of the few days each year when Shakespeare's School (now King Edward VI Grammar School) was open to the public. Shakespeare's School, King Edward VI Grammar School has a lovely building and when you walk past the gates under Shakespeare's old classroom you think that the children who are currently being educated there are so privilaged being able to go to Shakespeare's School and the students even get to be taught in Shakespeare's old classroom, Overall brilliant building. Lovely architecture!
