Intended to stay just half an hour. Stayed 3 hours, walking the wonderful gardens and visiting the cottage (twice!). Totally and utterly impressed. I was expecting to be underwhelmed, I wasn't. More

We walked from Stratford, not too far. I got a bit alarmed when I saw the coach park, thinking it would be overwhelmed, but it was very peaceful in lovely grounds, helped by a hot sunny day after weeks of rubbish weather. When we visited (Tuesday 22 May lunchtime) there was a really interesting and knowledgeable lady talking about the... More

Not just the cottage itself was fantastic, also the way to arrive to it through a small wood area and next to the canal was great. I think this was the first time I´ve been in such an old building and was amazing to know a farmer´s house in that good conservation state. The gardens are also really beautiful More

The cottage is set in lovely grounds with a picturesque approach to the building. Lots to see in the house and explanations are given by staff on hand. More

Stunning cottage in lovely gardens. We were given an introductory talk and then were free to explore the cottage on our own. The cottage is lovely & is furnished so that you really understand how it worked. You really need to be able to manage steps in order to see everywhere, but it's only a few easy steps into the... I grew up seeing this depicted on the top of tins of toffees, and at last I got to see it. I walked from my B and B, which was a very pleasant way to approach the cottage. The "Shop" is pretty much what you would expect, but there was a brilliant local guide in the cottage who had lots... More

Interesting house and very pretty garden. Make sure you go right inside the willow arbour in the garden and sit on the seat. If you push the buttons in front of you you can hear a sonnet or two - very romantic! ( It's not very obvious if you just peek inside) More

We had my mum in law visit and we wanted to do something interesting and we found it! We decided to book three tickets for the five Shakespeare houses. Website really easy to use and certainly the best way to book tickets - discount online too and avoid queues; not that there were big queues as the weather was miserable!!... More
