As you approach the entrance for the first time you think it is going to be small and boring, not so.The gardens are very calm and peaceful almost magical (you don't have to be a hippy geek to appreciate this).it's lovely to just sit and relax quietely with no notion of the goings on of the town which is not far... Garden is a place for contemplation. Old well with water rich in iron that is good for health. Its stream is drawing brown path through the garden. Flowers and green area, with places to seat and relax.

The gardens are amazing in the springtime, lots of different plants and flowers. A quiet place to think, contemplate and meditate. Very peaceful.

One of my favourite places: serene, quiet, inspirational and rich in beautiful nature. If not for occasional hordes of very enthusiastic tourists who tend to forget the policy of the place, in other words: silence and respect! Apart from that, nothing like lingering in this peaceful island would help clearing up your mind from daily hassles.

We generally visit the garden at least once a year and it rarely disappoints.it can be difficult to access by car, there are several disabled spaces and more parking on the factory car park across the road. In the summer or t times of pagan festivals it can be very busy with lots of pagan and spiritual visitors, incense and... More

Found Chalice Well very interesting, we spent a good hour relaxing in the gardens. Drank from the Lions head, which is supposed to have healing properties, you definitely taste the iron as the water had a metallic taste. No problems parking as the previous reviewer stated just park at the Somerset Rural Life Museum, £2 all day, 5 mins or... More

Not as "significant" as we imagined, in fact could easily have driven right past (which we did). Parking was also quite difficult and we ended up parking illegally on a very narrow road.

A small beautiful garden, of great peace, yet near a busy road, tucked in a valley beneath the Glastonbury Tor. Tbe attraction of the famous holy well of legend and history will bring you back again and again.

A beautiful quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Glastonbury. I always visit when in Glastonbury, indeed my favorite spot is in the healing pool, where despite the cold weather this year, I happily plunged my feet.
